The Book of Ira

Iratus is the demon charged with punishing those who have harmed children. As more souls come to his ring of Hell, he wonders about his effectiveness and goes “Topside” to take the punishment to the innocence-takers before they can take more innocence. While on Earth, Iratus frees sixteen-year-old Raven Mijares from human-traffickers. The two form a bond, and Raven teaches Iratus what it means to be human while trying to not inadvertently set off the Apocalypse.

  • Jedediah Berry, author of: The Naming Song

"Layered with darkness, humor, and heart, The Book of Ira is a monstrously fun romp and a demonically subversive treat."

  • Laura Williams McCaffrey, author of: Marked

"The Book of Ira is a roller coaster of humor and horror. It's about revenge and about friendship, while a cat-and-mouse plot rollicks."

  • Lisa Allen, author of: It's What I Have Left

"I never realized there is such poetry to eviscerations."

  • David Yoo, author of: The Choke Artist

"Clearly the character of David Lee is based on my likeness; legal action will be taken."
